Private or shared: what is the difference?

Shared group: you join other travellers on the same departure and pay per person. Private: the whole departure is for your group only, at the private price shown when you book.

Experiences marked Private only can only be booked privately, so you will never share them with strangers.

How you join also depends on the type. Shared departures usually start at a meeting point. Private bookings can include pickup from your accommodation where the host offers it, and the booking page shows which applies before you pay.
