The People Behind Your Journey

I'm Elhoussaine, the person behind NMorocco.

I grew up in the southeast of Morocco, in the High Atlas, and moved to Marrakech several years ago. Over time, I started working closely with travelers, guides, drivers, riad owners, and local families across Morocco. I saw something that stayed with me: some of the best people in Moroccan tourism were often the ones working behind the scenes.

The guide who knows a mountain trail because he grew up walking it.

The driver who has spent years on the roads between Marrakech, the Atlas, the Dades Valley, Todra, and the Sahara.

The local host who welcomes you with mint tea and treats you like a guest rather than a customer.

The people who know where to stop, what story to tell, when to slow down, and how to make you feel at home.

These are the people who make a journey through Morocco special.

They wake up early, drive long distances, answer endless questions, carry the responsibility of getting you safely from one place to another, and share parts of their culture and their lives with people they may have only just met.

That is why I built NMorocco.

I didn't want to create another travel website where Morocco is reduced to a list of tours and hotel rooms. I wanted to build something around the people who actually know this country.

NMorocco connects travelers with trusted local guides, drivers, hosts, and experience providers across Morocco. My role is to make that connection easier while keeping the experience personal.

Because when you travel with NMorocco, you're not just booking an itinerary.

You're meeting people.

People with their own stories, families, traditions, knowledge, and connection to the places you're visiting.

My own connection to Morocco is at the center of this. My roots are in the High Atlas and the southeast, but my work has taken me across Marrakech and many other parts of the country. I also manage guesthouses, so I know from experience that hospitality is about much more than providing a room or arranging a transfer. It's about making someone feel welcomed, looked after, and comfortable in a place that is not their own.

Over the years, travelers have trusted the work we do through platforms including TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and GetYourGuide, while thousands of people follow my work and my view of Morocco online.

But numbers are not what matter most to me.

Trust is.

Every guide and driver we work with represents NMorocco. That's why I care about who we work with, how they treat travelers, and whether they share the same values of honesty, respect, hospitality, and professionalism that I would expect if someone were welcoming my own family.

NMorocco is also about showing a Morocco beyond the usual postcard.

Yes, there are the souks of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, the kasbahs, the Dades and Todra valleys, and the dunes of Merzouga.

But there are also the conversations along the road, the tea shared with a family, the small village you didn't expect to stop in, the local restaurant your driver recommends, the stories you hear from someone who has lived there all their life.

Those moments are often the ones you remember.

Through NMorocco Originals, I also share my own experiences, recommendations, and stories from the road including the people I meet and the places I genuinely believe are worth discovering.

My promise is simple:

I'll help you discover Morocco through people who know it, live it, and love it.

I'll make your journey easier to plan, more personal, and more connected to the real Morocco.

Because I believe the best way to discover a country is not just to see it.

It's to meet the people who call it home.
