About Aït Ben Haddou
Aït Ben Haddou is the most iconic ksar in southern Morocco, a fortified earthen village rising in tiers above the Ounila River. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, its kasbahs of rammed earth and palm have served as the backdrop for Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Game of Thrones and many more. A few families still live within the walls and run rooftop cafés with sweeping desert views.
