This Hot Air Balloon Marrakech experience launches just before sunrise, when the air is calm and the light over the Moroccan landscape is at its best. After pickup from your riad or hotel in Marrakech (between 4:30 and 6:00 AM depending on the season), you drive about 40 minutes to the launch site near the Jbilet hills. While the balloons are inflated, sip a hot Moroccan tea and watch the burners light up the desert dawn. The flight lasts 40 to 60 minutes and drifts silently over palm groves, Berber villages and the distant snow capped Atlas peaks. After landing, enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast (msemen, honey, olives, eggs, fresh bread and mint tea) in a Berber tent before being driven back to Marrakech.
